I have been practicing Yoga for 11 years teaching for 6. In that time my practice has changed and Yoga has become a very positive stable force in my life.
Over the years my practice has evolved from the rigorous Ashtanga practice, through the creativity that Vinyasa flow allows and now to the warm and wonderful heart-opening Anusara practice where we learn to align our bodies in an optimal way so we can live and enjoy life on and off the mat more freely and fully.
Since I first did my teacher training in India at Yoga Vidya Damn, and went on to train with Shiva Rea Prana Flow, I have done further trainings and workshops with some of the worlds best known teachers here, in India and in the US. I feel I have learnt something valuable from each and every one and from the experiences I have had in my life. The arrival of my daughter Maia means for now I have had to say goodbye to 3 month trips to India and last minute teacher trainings in New York. Fortunately my journey continues thanks to all the wonderful teachers who are choosing to put Ireland on their destination list as they travel and teach around the globe.
The style of Yoga I teach is a combination of all I have learnt and continue to learn from my teachers, from my practice and from my students.
Om namah shivaya
I honour the teacher within
I believe we can be our greatest teachers if we stop, pause and listen.
I teach from my heart and ask that people listen to theirs, respect their bodies, feel their breath and ultimately enjoy the practice and enjoy the journey. The power you feel is yours to enjoy and allows you to open your hearts to what is possible.
